Shake it Off! Clearing the Energy around You

Have you ever walked into a space and sensed the tension between two people? Or entered a house and felt a darkness, or lightness? Or maybe you've met someone who seems to carry a heaviness around with them, causing you to feel a shift in your mood and tone when you're together and for a while afterwards?

My guest today talks about the idea of how we can be sensitive to energies around us, perhaps without even realising, and what we can do to clear it.

Hello and welcome to the Aprica Podcast, where every week we will set you on your way with a little bit of life advice from our guests.

And today we are talking about negative energy.

Speaker A:

Now, I consider myself a pretty down to earth person, but I think we've all had that experience of going somewhere and sensing a tension or even sometimes a darkness in the space around us.

Speaker A:

And so often we reject these unexplained things.

Speaker A:

And yet I'm pretty sure if physicists had described dark matter and quantum physics 200 years ago, they'd have been laughed out of London.

Speaker A:

And so I thought today we would have a chat with an expert on energy clearing and space clearing.

Speaker A:

And I figure that if Taylor Swift can write a song about karma, then I can do a podcast about bad juju.

Speaker A:

Right, that's fair.

Speaker A:

So, first of all, Sam, thank you so much for joining me today on the podcast.

Speaker A:

So do tell us a little bit then about this idea of energy and negative energy and positive energy in the space around us.

Speaker B:

Okay, so we've all walked into a building and it can be a total mess, but we just feel really comfortable and really at home.

Speaker B:

And we can walk into the most amazing place and just not feel comfortable, right?

Speaker B:

We're picking up the energy.

Speaker B:

That's what we're doing in those situations.

Speaker B:

We even say it right, if we walk into a room and there's been an argument, you say you can cut the atmosphere with a knife.

Speaker B:

That is talking about the energy of a property or a room that we're going into.

Speaker B:

So how I see it is a building has a memory much like we do.

Speaker B:

And we as humans replay the negative more than we replay the positive, right?

Speaker B:

And the property is the same.

Speaker B:

So that energy can really affect us.

Speaker B:

It can stop properties selling, it can make us feel uncomfortable.

Speaker B:

It can stop animals going into an area.

Speaker B:

I have one lady and her dog just would not go in one space.

Speaker B:

And it was very clear when I started space clearing it.

Speaker B:

Why?

Speaker B:

Because there was no way I was going to the loo until I'd space cleared it.

Speaker A:

Because I remember when I. I went house hunting a few years ago and I walked into this house in Wales that I was looking around and on paper it was perfect.

Speaker A:

And I walked in and I felt.

Speaker A:

I don't know how to describe it.

Speaker A:

I just felt like, kind of slightly or like kind of prickly almost.

Speaker A:

And then I walked around the garden.

Speaker A:

I started getting this very heav sense, like that something wasn't Good.

Speaker A:

And then I walked around the house, and in my head, I kept saying to myself, something really bad has happened in this house, like someone's been murdered or something awful has happened.

Speaker A:

And yet, even to this day, I don't know if that's the case.

Speaker A:

But I. I felt it in my core, and I'm not given to that kind of thing, but I really felt this really heavy, horrible.

Speaker A:

And I just kept thinking about murder.

Speaker A:

And I'm.

Speaker A:

I don't watch murder.

Speaker A:

Murder shows or anything like that.

Speaker A:

I'm not, you know, and yet I felt it.

Speaker A:

So what.

Speaker A:

What do you think is going on there at a fundamental level?

Speaker A:

So a level that maybe like, spiritual, mystical people can get, but also maybe the more sciencey kind of pragmatic people can get.

Speaker A:

What do you think is actually going on there?

Speaker B:

I see it as a building is like a piece of clay.

Speaker B:

Right.

Speaker B:

So it holds the biggest handprint, and energetically, negativity is bigger than positivity, so it's that that tends to replay.

Speaker B:

Now, I think that you were probably right, and there probably was a murder in that property.

Speaker B:

And also there may have been a stuck spirit there.

Speaker B:

So that's what you were picking up on.

Speaker B:

But even the most scientific, the most non woo woo person will say, I've walked into a building and not liked it.

Speaker A:

Energy is a thing, isn't it?

Speaker A:

Like, energy is like.

Speaker A:

Physicists around us will say, energy is a thing, and we understand so little about it.

Speaker A:

So I'm guessing what you're saying is that this energy that we understand from a scientific perspective actually might have a lot more going on, but we just haven't really.

Speaker A:

We haven't explained it scientifically, but intuitively, we really feel this.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

And if.

Speaker B:

If you're in doubt.

Speaker B:

Right.

Speaker B:

Little exercise for you.

Speaker B:

All right.

Speaker B:

Now, if you're in doubt that we're all energy, rub your hands together.

Speaker A:

I'm gonna do this so you'll hear this on the podcast.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker B:

Then pull them gently apart.

Speaker B:

Can you feel that?

Speaker A:

I feel a kind of warmth and a rather niceness.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Yes.

Speaker A:

Yes, that's right.

Speaker B:

You're feeling your own energy.

Speaker A:

That's like.

Speaker A:

Okay, the scientist in me is saying this is warmth.

Speaker A:

And warm like molecules, when they're warm, they jiggle around a lot.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

So I'm guessing it's some.

Speaker A:

I'm really bad at physics.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

So I apologize to all my physicists listening, but it's something to do with the warmth and the.

Speaker B:

I'm guessing the jiggly molecules.

Speaker B:

Right now you can move it further slowly.

Speaker B:

Can you still feel it?

Speaker A:

It's a shame this isn't a visual podcast because I look a bit bonkers at the moment.

Speaker A:

But, yes, I'm moving my hands apart.

Speaker B:

Right.

Speaker B:

And you can you still feel it?

Speaker A:

I actually can.

Speaker A:

In my palms.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

So that's not warmth now, is it?

Speaker B:

Because your hand's too far away.

Speaker A:

Is that something to do with my skin?

Speaker A:

I feel I'm desperately trying to think of scientific responses to this, but.

Speaker A:

And yet I don't know why I'm doing this, because I think we have a habit in the Western world of desperately seeking scientific responses and answers to things.

Speaker A:

And yet, realistically, if one thing I've learned is that science changes all the time.

Speaker A:

And scientists are fabulous at being like, okay, we've got new data in now, so we're changing all of this.

Speaker A:

And sometimes the general public can be left, like, what?

Speaker A:

I was totally bought into that concept.

Speaker A:

So.

Speaker B:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker B:

And science is basically a group of people agreeing that something is set way.

Speaker B:

Right.

Speaker B:

So if you wanted to be really critical, you could say, if you believe in space clearing and you believe we're all energy, which I do, then we are looking at from a scientific viewpoint.

Speaker B:

If there's more than one person agrees, then it's science.

Speaker B:

Right.

Speaker A:

I love that explanation.

Speaker A:

I feel like scientists around.

Speaker A:

Around the world are dropping their biscuit in their cup of tea at the moment.

Speaker B:

But I think probably.

Speaker A:

Yeah, I think so, too.

Speaker A:

But What.

Speaker A:

You are 100% right, that we are energy, that we have, that we are beings of energy.

Speaker A:

Obviously.

Speaker A:

I mean, that is.

Speaker A:

That is definitely clear.

Speaker A:

And I think what you're probably saying is that there is this energy.

Speaker A:

There is.

Speaker A:

There are things about it that we as yet haven't yet explained.

Speaker A:

And we all intuitively know that we do walk into places and, you know, you were saying about, you know, like, if two people are having an argument and then you walk into the room and they're not arguing, but, you know, and it's not.

Speaker A:

We're very good at picking up little gestures from people.

Speaker A:

But even if there's nothing, you know, and you know, they cut the atmosphere with a knife.

Speaker A:

That is so true, isn't it?

Speaker B:

So, yeah.

Speaker A:

Okay, so.

Speaker A:

So we've established that.

Speaker A:

I think we can all agree that there's something, even if we don't really know what it is or can explain it, and that's fine.

Speaker A:

Not everything needs to be explained.

Speaker A:

But what do we do then about this?

Speaker A:

Because I've gone, I've.

Speaker A:

I've lived in Houses that have the most beautiful energy.

Speaker A:

And I've just known that the people who've lived there have just been joyous, happy people.

Speaker A:

And that's wonderful.

Speaker A:

But what about the contrasting.

Speaker A:

If you happen to buy the murder house, as me, my children call it that, I looked around.

Speaker A:

What, what then?

Speaker A:

Like, what can you do about clearing that kind of energy?

Speaker B:

Okay, so first of all, there's so much we don't understand that we benefit from.

Speaker B:

I have no clue how the electric works in my house.

Speaker B:

I have no clue how the Internet is working, but we benefit from it.

Speaker B:

Do we need to understand all of the workings to benefit from it?

Speaker A:

I think we need to intuitively resonate with something.

Speaker A:

And I think that is, that is something that is very clear when it comes to this.

Speaker B:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker B:

So, but the good news is with the energy of properties, we can change it, right?

Speaker B:

We can disperse the negative energy.

Speaker B:

And what this does is enhance the positive.

Speaker A:

I'd like to announce I'm going to be very disappointed if we don't start talking about smudge sticks at some point in this.

Speaker B:

Okay, well, we'll see.

Speaker A:

Oh, good, because it's the only thing I know about this.

Speaker A:

So.

Speaker A:

Okay, so tell us what we can do about these.

Speaker A:

I'm guessing that as well negative energy kind of flows up and down in as much as sometimes it will be worse and other times it will get better.

Speaker A:

Is it always going to be the same?

Speaker A:

Like once it's there, is it always static?

Speaker B:

No, it does change.

Speaker B:

Because if you think we've already said we're all energy, right, let's go with the assumption that everyone listening agrees with that.

Speaker B:

So if we're all energy, then we're leaving parts of our energy behind, aren't we?

Speaker B:

Right.

Speaker B:

So when you hug someone, you feel it, you physically feel it.

Speaker B:

Makes you feel good.

Speaker B:

Right.

Speaker B:

So we're passing our energy on, but if we're in a bad mood or having a hard time or you know, things aren't going great, we're leaving that energy behind.

Speaker B:

Have you ever come away from meeting a friend who's going through a really rough patch and, and you just feel exhausted, right, because they've passed on that energy to you.

Speaker B:

Not intentionally, but that's what they've done.

Speaker A:

It's reminds me of cartoons.

Speaker A:

You know in cartoons where they would show the cartoon character, if the cartoon character was very smelly and they would actually show like a little whiff of smoke, different color smoke behind them and, or mist or whatever.

Speaker A:

And it's.

Speaker A:

I get that impression when you're saying about that, that we kind of, as we go around, we have this different energy based on our mood or our feelings at the time.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

And we leave that, you know, use it.

Speaker B:

You meet someone, you may never have met them before and they make you feel really good, or you meet someone and you don't feel good.

Speaker B:

And that's again, us picking up the energy right now.

Speaker B:

We can't change other people's energy because that's their responsibility.

Speaker B:

We can protect our own energy, though, by putting ourselves in a bubble of protection or a suit of armor.

Speaker B:

Lots of people have different ways of doing it.

Speaker B:

And once you get used to it, I do it in the shower.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

I think what's really interesting is that as a.

Speaker A:

As a life coach and a therapist, I quite often talk to my clients about this.

Speaker A:

You know, people that drain your energy or people that make you feel bad and people building up a kind of resilience mindset to these people, arming yourself before you meet them.

Speaker A:

For quite often, I have to say, quite often it is our family because we're forced to sort of spend time with them.

Speaker A:

And sometimes it's not always a good thing for us.

Speaker A:

And so the approach I tend to take is, okay, you know, like, go in with a positive mindset, maybe have phrases that feel powerful to you.

Speaker A:

Maybe after the event you can shift the narrative, you know, those kind of approaches.

Speaker A:

But what you're suggesting there is almost what I like to think about of as almost like a little witchy spell.

Speaker A:

Is that.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Is that fair?

Speaker B:

Yeah, absolutely, absolutely.

Speaker B:

It's just you're putting the intention there that your energy is protected so only good things can enter your energy field.

Speaker B:

And it really helps, like when the times that I've not done it and it's got, oh, no, I forgot to do it.

Speaker B:

Which is why I do it in the shower.

Speaker B:

Because then if I'm not working, if I'm working, I do it multiple times a day.

Speaker B:

But if I' not working but I'm going to a castle or something, you can imagine, I see the history.

Speaker B:

So that can be quite traumatic.

Speaker B:

Whereas if I'm protected and in my bubble, then I'm in control of my energy.

Speaker B:

I'm in control of what I can see, what comes in.

Speaker B:

We were on holiday a couple of weeks ago and we went to a castle and there was all these spirits lining up for me to send to the light, which is fine.

Speaker B:

But I said I do not want to see anything.

Speaker B:

I'm on holiday.

Speaker B:

I'm not going to leave all these stranded spirits waiting.

Speaker B:

I'm going to send them on their way.

Speaker B:

But I'm not working right.

Speaker B:

This is my holiday, so I don't want to see anything.

Speaker B:

And I didn't because I was protected already.

Speaker A:

Yourself off in advance?

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

What about those times when you don't realize that you're going to encounter these kind of negative energies?

Speaker A:

And then after the event.

Speaker A:

So before the event, you can, if, you know, you can cast your little witchy spell or you can have a resilience mindset or however you want to put it, which I suspect is very similar kind of thing, actually.

Speaker B:

Yeah, definitely.

Speaker A:

But then what about after the event when you didn't realize you were going to encounter somebody like this or energy like this?

Speaker A:

Is there anything you can do to kind of shake it off?

Speaker A:

As twice in one podcast, I've referenced Taylor Swift.

Speaker A:

Is there anything you could do to kind of shake it off?

Speaker B:

Are you a fan?

Speaker A:

I am a fan.

Speaker A:

Can you tell?

Speaker A:

I should call this the Taylor Swift podcast.

Speaker A:

I get a lot more listener.

Speaker A:

Tell me how we can shake it off after the event.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

So you could literally shake it off.

Speaker B:

Or a shower with salt.

Speaker B:

You could use sage or an incense around your energy as well.

Speaker B:

You could say a prayer, call in Archangel Michael and ask him to cut all of the cords that are connecting you to that person.

Speaker B:

With my protection meditation, I've.

Speaker B:

I've used.

Speaker B:

I use Carl Gray's methodology.

Speaker B:

And so I cut the cords before I put myself in a bubble, just so that I'm not taking with me any of the other stuff that happens in life between bubbling up.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

So what I love about this is that I think everyone can take something from this.

Speaker A:

So for those people listening who are very bought into this, they can cut the cords with the Archangel Michael.

Speaker A:

I hope I got that right.

Speaker A:

And you did.

Speaker A:

Good, good, good.

Speaker A:

Don't want to upset any archangels.

Speaker A:

And for those, for other people that maybe want to take a more kind of, I don't want to say rational, so I'm putting it in inverted commas, but this idea of a hot shower, just doing something that has a physical sensation that breaks through the energy that you may have picked up.

Speaker A:

So something maybe like you say, shaking it off, just like animals and dogs do to regulate their nervous system.

Speaker A:

So I'm guessing it's again, it's something like this about just shedding that kind of negative energy.

Speaker A:

But what about when we.

Speaker A:

We are in a space like our house, when we can't get away from that negative energy, when it's, you know, it's around us all the time.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

So that's when you want a space clear.

Speaker B:

And I believe that everyone can and probably should be space clearing.

Speaker B:

However, if you are suffering from mental illness or you're scared, don't.

Speaker B:

Because if you're scared, you're going to attract more things to be scared of.

Speaker B:

Right.

Speaker A:

Scared or scared of the space.

Speaker B:

Or scared.

Speaker B:

Scared of the space.

Speaker B:

Scared of the fact that you might see something and you don't really want to.

Speaker B:

There's a whole, you know, scaredness scale really, isn't it?

Speaker A:

Okay, yeah, I've got you.

Speaker A:

So if you're feeling scared or afraid, or if you have kind of troublesome mental health issues.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Then you wouldn't want to do any space clearing.

Speaker A:

You would want to get somebody else.

Speaker B:

To do that for you.

Speaker B:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker B:

But apart from that, everyone can do it.

Speaker A:

So tell us how we would go about that.

Okay, so first of all, you set your intention so you.

Speaker B:

I call in the angels and guides.

Speaker B:

Now, they don't care whether you believe in them or not.

Speaker B:

Right.

Speaker B:

They really don't.

Speaker B:

They haven't got egos.

Speaker A:

So if I was an archangel, I would have a massive ego.

Speaker A:

Throw that out there.

Speaker B:

That's why you're not.

Speaker A:

Oh, damn.

Speaker A:

You see, I've already ruled myself out, haven't I?

Speaker A:

So you would set an intention, which would be something like, I want to rid this space of negative energy or something like that.

Speaker B:

I always start with thank you.

Speaker B:

Because when you say thank you, you're saying to the angels, even if you don't believe in them, you're saying, okay, I trust.

Speaker B:

Do this and it's a done deal.

Speaker B:

Job's done.

Speaker B:

Right.

Speaker B:

So I always start with thank you.

Speaker B:

Thank you, angels and guides.

Speaker B:

And I always say, for revealing what I need to know, because I see the history and it's nice to give my clients the history so they can go, oh, yeah, that happened, and they know that I'm genuine.

Speaker B:

Right.

Speaker B:

But if you don't want to see the history, and I'm not saying you will, you could, but most people don't.

Speaker B:

Right.

Speaker B:

So you probably won't see anything, but you might.

Speaker B:

But you've already done your protection.

Speaker B:

First thing, then you set your intention.

Speaker A:

The protection is the little bubble.

Speaker A:

Sorry, the protection is the bubble.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Put yourself in the bubble.

Speaker B:

And then so I always, no matter what the reason a client comes to me, I always program the house.

Speaker B:

I ask the angels and guides to make it happy, healthy, and abundant.

Speaker B:

So if you've got another issue, like you're trying to sell it, then you want to put in thank you for clearing this energy so that it attracts the perfect buyer.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker B:

So whatever the issue is if there's a bad smell, so the smell goes away.

Speaker B:

And then just start with clapping.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker B:

And you will hear, and you can all try this, you will hear the energy shift.

Speaker B:

So if now you're thinking, yes, still not sure about this energy thing, start clapping around your room.

Speaker B:

You will hear it physically hear the sound change.

Speaker A:

You don't think that's echo of the clapping or anything like that?

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Why has it changed then?

Speaker A:

Why is the sound of the clapping change as you clap?

Speaker A:

Oh, yeah.

Speaker A:

Well, I don't know.

Speaker A:

Does.

Speaker B:

Does.

Speaker A:

Interesting.

Speaker A:

I'm going to have to try that.

Speaker A:

But if I try that now, that's going to disrupt the podcast.

Speaker A:

I'm going to have to take that on faith.

Speaker A:

But that is interesting.

Speaker B:

It starts off very muffled and then it gets clearer.

Speaker A:

Ah, interesting.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

And that's because you're clearing the space around it to hear that.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

Anyone that's got decent hearing should be able to hear the change in the energy.

Speaker A:

So you start with a protective bubble, which might look like the meditation that you mentioned.

Speaker A:

It might just look like a repeating kind of positive affirmations to yourself or whatever.

Speaker A:

Then you would set an intention, thank the angels and guides, or thank the energy around you for giving whatever it's done to you.

Speaker A:

Perfect.

Speaker A:

Set an intention for what you want for that space.

Speaker A:

Then you start clapping.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

I love this idea that I'm going to have a bunch of listeners going around clapping.

Speaker A:

So what would they do next?

Speaker B:

Okay, so when you get to places that you can't reach, like corners of the ceiling and wall, a lot of energy gets stuck in those places.

Speaker B:

So you need to use your intention to get your clap into the corners.

Speaker B:

I like candles as well, because I love candles and it.

Speaker B:

It does help.

Speaker A:

And would.

Speaker A:

Would you use smudge sticks as well, this kind of thing?

Speaker B:

I use sage and palo santo.

Speaker B:

If you haven't got either of those, but you've got joss sticks, you can just use joss stick.

Speaker B:

It's the smoke that cleanses.

Speaker B:

But the sage and palo santo are more powerful.

Speaker A:

Could you use a candle, then?

Speaker A:

For this?

Speaker A:

For the smoke?

Speaker B:

You could use a candle for the smoke, if that's all you've got.

Speaker A:

And that's for the corners, predominantly.

Speaker A:

The bits that you.

Speaker A:

The clapping can't get all of it.

Speaker B:

Just walk around the room.

Speaker B:

And the bits you can't get to, just use your intention.

Speaker B:

The smoke's going into the corners, the clapping's going into the corners.

Speaker A:

And I feel like in my head there's chanting that goes on here.

Speaker A:

And I don't know if I've just invented that, but I feel like as you walk around with the smudge sticks, you might just sort of repeat things or anything like that.

Speaker A:

Do you need to do anything like that?

Speaker B:

You can.

Speaker B:

There's absolutely no harm in doing.

Speaker B:

I don't.

Speaker B:

But there's absolutely no reason why you couldn't do that.

Speaker B:

On a very basic level.

Speaker B:

Had the first time my space cleared, I literally clapped and had incense.

Speaker B:

That was it.

Speaker B:

And the difference.

Speaker B:

The house was physically lighter and I didn't know anything about space clearing at that point.

Speaker B:

But I got all the history of the property, which I was told afterwards that wasn't normal.

Speaker B:

But then, to be fair, not much about me is.

Speaker A:

Normality is very overrated.

Speaker B:

Is it?

Speaker B:

I wouldn't know.

Speaker A:

Trust me.

Speaker A:

Okay, so here we are.

Speaker A:

We're going around, we're clapping, we're using our intention.

Speaker A:

We've got smoke of some sort.

Speaker A:

Sage sticks, joss sticks, candle.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Next.

Speaker B:

If you have.

Speaker B:

That is enough to make a difference.

Speaker B:

If you've got bells.

Speaker B:

I love bells.

Speaker B:

And I really think it helps make a difference to changing the energy.

Speaker B:

So you just do the same thing, but with a bell around the whole room.

Speaker B:

And then I've just added in tuning forks as well because they're fun and, you know, it'd be rude not to.

Speaker B:

And then I finished with the singing bowl.

Speaker B:

That just nicely calms the energy.

Speaker A:

Again, you don't have us if you don't have, like a kind of Tibetan singing bowl.

Speaker A:

Is there anything you can do as your final thing, like humming or something?

Speaker A:

I don't know.

Speaker B:

You could.

Speaker B:

Anything you do, just clapping and incense will change the energy.

Speaker B:

The more aspects you put in the stronger that is.

Speaker B:

But if you're in somewhere that's not got particularly bad energy, you just think it needs a bit of a energy spring clean, then that's.

Speaker B:

That's enough.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

And the little I know about physics is that sound waves are sort of energy waves.

Speaker A:

You know, that I'm doing lots of motions with my hands here for those listening, but it's ups and downs, you know, sound waves.

Speaker A:

And so I'm guessing energy, all of this sounds like it's very similar.

Speaker A:

It's about spreading out new energy waves into different parts of the, of the house.

Speaker A:

With noises and with, with.

Speaker A:

With heat and also with smells.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

So once you've done all those things, is there anything you need to do at the end?

Speaker A:

Is there any.

Speaker A:

Do you need to do another?

Speaker A:

Thank you.

Speaker A:

Do you like.

Speaker B:

That's exactly what I do.

Speaker B:

So then I thank the angels and guides for showing up and I thank them for solving whatever issue it was.

Speaker B:

If there was an issue.

Speaker B:

If there wasn't an issue, I just thank them for making it happy, healthy and abundant property.

Speaker A:

What do we need to look out for here?

Speaker A:

Like, how will we know if it's worked in inverted commas and how will we know if we need to do something else?

Speaker B:

Okay, so if it's worked, which it will do, because everyone could do this, you may see it's physically lighter.

Speaker B:

You may see that people's moods change in for the positive.

Speaker B:

Obviously we don't want bad moods.

Speaker B:

Anything could happen.

Speaker B:

It depends what you.

Speaker B:

What you are looking to achieve.

Speaker B:

So if your property's stuck on the market, there's no reason then you would expect that it starts to get more interest if the problem's energetic.

Speaker B:

The problem isn't always energetic.

Speaker B:

Sometimes it's the estate agent, sometimes it's the price.

Speaker B:

But if the problem's energetic, then you will start to get more interest in the property and an offer.

Speaker B:

If your business is not going as well as you'd like and you've asked for it to thrive, you.

Speaker B:

You should see your business start to grow.

Speaker A:

What about if it's mood based?

Speaker A:

If you're just sort of feeling that the energy in the house is affecting your mood, I'm guessing what you're looking for there then is a more general clearing of your emotions and your mood.

Speaker B:

Yeah, if it's your mood you're trying to change.

Speaker B:

If the problem is your property, because obviously it might not be.

Speaker B:

If the problem is your property, you should feel lighter.

Speaker B:

You should feel lighter.

Speaker B:

Anyway, I have one woman who actually lost weight Only it's only happened once.

Speaker B:

So I'm not saying this is the new weight loss miracle, but it was a shock to me.

Speaker B:

I mean, the energy in her house was particularly heavy and it was literally weighing her down.

Speaker B:

And she didn't.

Speaker B:

She'd been struggling to lose weight for years, since move two years, I think she'd been in the property and since then she'd been trying to lose weight and she didn't change her diet, she didn't do anything, and the weight just fell off.

Speaker A:

So I know that, Sam, you're an expert in space clearing, but I wonder just before we finish, if you can, if you can let me know a little bit about the energy that's inside us when we have a kind of negative energy inside us.

Speaker A:

Is it the same theory?

Speaker A:

Is there something different going on there?

Speaker A:

Like, is there similarity to the approach?

Speaker A:

What do you think?

Speaker B:

Yeah, I think that the property is just picking up the energy from other people that has an effect on the building, which then can have an effect on the people entering the building.

Speaker A:

So it's almost like a vicious circle.

Speaker B:

Yeah, definitely.

Speaker B:

It's like the building or the land even, because I space cleared land.

Speaker B:

Because if there's a big issue on a property, piece of land, you know, war, for example, then the land's going to hold that memory.

Speaker B:

So it's picking up what the people are giving out.

Speaker B:

And then in return, we pick up what's coming back from the property and then it goes round and round and round, which won't help you if you're struggling with moods and just feeling not great.

Speaker B:

It can really hold us back.

Speaker A:

So we've learned how to space clear and we've learned how as people, we can go around and we can make our space as positively energetic as possible and how we can have an effect on that as well with our energy.

Speaker A:

And I love the idea that all my listeners are now going to be going around clapping and ringing bells.

Speaker A:

I love that.

Speaker A:

But what about a piece of advice for our listeners about how they can maybe how they can harness their energy, protect their energy, clear their energy.

Speaker A:

What is the one single thing that you wish people knew about this that they could then go away and try.

Speaker B:

Out or do one thing?

Speaker B:

Can I give you more than one thing?

Speaker A:

Yeah, go on, give us.

Speaker A:

Give us more than one thing.

Speaker B:

Okay, so protect your energy.

Speaker B:

Get it as a habit so that you protect your energy.

Speaker B:

And then it's really important to know that it's okay to be who you are.

Speaker B:

And everyone else's opinion of you is none of your business.

Speaker B:

Because as soon as you start to go, you know what?

Speaker B:

This is me.

Speaker B:

Take it or leave it.

Speaker B:

This is who I truly am.

Speaker B:

Life gets a lot easier because it's so difficult when you're trying to please everyone and you're like, oh, what will they think?

Speaker B:

And that really has a negative effect on everyone's energy.

Speaker B:

So be true to yourself and don't worry about other people.

Speaker A:

That is so true.

Speaker A:

And I think that is an absolutely key way that we can protect ourselves from negative energy around us and negative energy within us.

Speaker A:

It's just allowing us to drop our sense of shame or sense of inferiority or comparison with other people.

Speaker A:
